Google Nest Wifi – Routers & Points – Pack of 3
Google Nest Wifi is a mesh-capable router designed by Google as part of the Nest line of products. It was announced on October 4, 2017, and released in the United States on November 4, 2017. It is intended to provide better Wi-Fi coverage than a single router can provide.
Nest Wifi consists of two types of devices: a router that connects directly to your modem, and one or more “points” that extend the wireless network into your home. The router has two Ethernet ports, while the points have none.
The system is designed to be easy to set up and manage; the Google Home app can be used to configure and monitor the network. Google Nest Wifi supports the 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) standard and provides speeds up to 2.2 Gbps on the 5 GHz band and 600 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band.
Nest Wifi uses mesh technology to provide better coverage than a traditional router. A mesh network is created when multiple routers work together to extend the wireless signal throughout your home. Each Nest Wifi point acts as a mini router, creating its own connection to the main router and other points in the system. This allows for a more reliable connection and less dead spots in your home.
Nest Wifi points also act as Smart Speakers, so you can use them to control your smart home devices with your voice. You can also use them to stream music, podcasts, and more from popular services like Spotify, Pandora, and iHeartRadio.
If you have any questions about your Google Nest Wifi system, please consult the user manual or contact customer support.
Eero mesh wifi system (1 eero + 2 eero Beacons) – blanket whole home wifi coverage up to 5+ bedrooms and 3500 sq. ft
Eero mesh wifi system is one of the latest and most popular home wifi systems on the market. It promises to blanket your whole home in wifi coverage, up to 5 bedrooms and 3500 sq. ft. But how does it really perform? We put it to the test in our own home to find out.
The eero mesh wifi system comes with 1 eero and 2 eero Beacons. The eero is the main unit that plugs into your modem or router. The two Beacons plug into outlets and extend the wifi signal throughout your home. They also double as night lights, which is a nice touch.
We have a two story, 4 bedroom home and we placed one Beacon on the first floor and one on the second floor. We found that the eero mesh wifi system did an excellent job of covering our entire home in wifi. We didn’t have any dead spots or areas with weak signal.
The eero mesh wifi system was very easy to set up. We simply plugged in the eero and then followed the instructions on the app to connect it to our modem/router and set up our wifi network. The whole process took less than 10 minutes.
Once it was set up, we were able to use the app to see all of the devices that were connected to our wifi network and how much bandwidth they were using. This is a great feature if you want to see which devices are hogging all of the bandwidth.
We’ve been using the eero mesh wifi system for several weeks now and we’re very happy with it. It’s been rock solid, with no dropped connections or other issues. Overall, we think it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and easy to use home wifi system.
